Islamabad: Accountability Court Islamabad has adjourned hearing of Al-Azizia Steel Mill reference case against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif till today Tuesday.
The case is being heard by Judge Muhammad Bashir. According to details, accountability court adjourned the hearing of Al-Azizia Steel Mills case against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family until today due to the absence of lawyers and witnesses.
Nawaz Sharif’s counsel and witnesses of prosecution were unable to attend the hearing because of roadblocks in Islamabad due to sit-in by religious group. As the hearing began, Judge Muhammad Bashir adjourned the hearing until today.
MNA Captain (retd) Safdar, son in law of Nawaz Sharif, also an accused in the Al-Azizia Mills case arrived at the judicial complex for the hearing on Monday.
Nawaz and his family are facing three corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in light of the Supreme Court’s July 28 judgment in the Panama Papers case.
