Sargodha: (Parliament Times) The vice chancellor University of Sargodha (UoS) Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed announced on Tuesday to arrange an exhibition of domestic products in collaboration with Chamber of Commerce, Sargodha.He was addressing to a reception in his honor arranged by Sargodha Chamber of Commerce, (SCC).
The vice chancellor stated that UoS will hold an exhibition to promote the domestic products at international level with the title of ‘’ Made in Sargodha”. He said UoS has played its role in development of Sargodha by providing business opportunities and it will also take part to grow the industries. He added that knowledge and industries have straight relationship and UoS will provide all the research support including technical and professional manpower to industries in order to meet their needs. He emphasized on the role of technology in business has caused a tremendous growth in trade and commerce in addition he said business concepts and models were revolutionized as a result of introduction of technologies.
Globalization has been realized because of the wonders of technology as anyone can now do a business anywhere within being constricted to the four corners, he added.
He told the members that in order to meet the needs of modern era UoS has organized ORIC and issued rupees 67 million funds for their research projects that will help the students and industrialists in broader perspective and it will also increase the ranking in research activities.
The vice chancellor and members of SCC were agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in different fields. Both were have the same opinion to launch joint portal, pre and post budget seminars, issuance of economic survey of Sargodha so the industrialists can improve their businesses.
The members of SCC requested the vice chancellor to organize Rozgaar event so the chamber of commerce can use the talent and research work of the university.
It is to be mention that President SCC Sheikh Naveed Iqbal, ex President Khawaja Rafique Abid, director ORIC Dr. Masood Sarwar and other office bearers were present at reception.
