Muzaffarabad:(parliament Times) Denouncing India’s naked aggression on the LoC the AJK Minister for Works and Communication Ch. Muhammad Aziz has said that Indian firing targeting civilian population across the line of control was an act of cowardice.
Aziz made these assertions while talking to reporters here on Sunday. Referring to Cross LoC firing by Indian forces he said that India’s naked aggression and targeting of civilian population across the line of control was an act of cowardice. Terming it as a deliberate attempt on the part of Indian government Ch. Aziz said that given the volatile situation in the region international community must take effective notice of Indian shelling and its blatant ceasefire violations. The AJK minister also hailed the Prime Minister and President of Azad Kashmir for highlighting Kashmir cause at international level.
About the socio-economic development in the liberated territory (AJK) the minister said that the incumbent government has started a comprehensive and all inclusive process of development in the region whereby development work would be carried out in all parts of the state particularly in the areas which were ignored in the past.
He said that development funds would be disbursed for the smooth development of rural areas. “Particularly funds would be allocated to ensure development of those areas which were left unattended during the past 5 years”, he said adding that all projects being executed and implemented under the communication department would be completed within a time span of one year. “A bran-new Azad Kashmir reflecting the aspirations of common masses will come into existence once the process of widening and metaling of inter-district roads gets completed”, Aziz said. He said that the PML-N was painstakingly engaged in fulfilling all its promises made with the people during last elections.
