ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected appeal plea of ousted Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif seeking merger of three references filed by NAB against Sharif family. .

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday took up for hearing in his chambers appeal plea filed by Nawaz Sharif seeking clubbing of 3 NAB references.

The CJP kept in tact the objections raised by registrar office on the petition. Nawaz Sharif had earlier filed petition seeking clubbing of 3 references filed by NAB. However registrar office had raised objections on the petition and directed the petitioner to resort to proper forum.

Nawaz Sharif through his counsel Khawaja Haris had requested CJP to hear his appeal plea filed against the objections raised by registrar office in his chambers.

Registrar office had raised objection Nawaz Sharif had used all forums for redressal of his complaint and no constitutional petition can be filed against SC final decision.

Talking to media men, Khawaja Haris counsel for Nawaz Sharif said it was our stand point that SC rules are not applied to the decision which is legally doubtful.

He said that this decision was unexpected. Such appeals are heard in open court with objections. But the court did not bother to hear the objections.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier Accountability Court (AC) had rejected Nawaz Sharif plea for clubbing the three references.
