SAHIWAL : A death row convict Muhammad Tahir has been executed in Central Jail Sahiwal for killing his pregnant wife.
The accused had gunned down his pregnant wife Asma over domestic row during night on June 23, 2007 in Shams Abad Sheikhupura. “A “ division police Sheikhupura arrested him after registering the case. He was awarded death sentence by additional session judge Sheikhupura on June, 30, 2008. High court had rejected his appeal plea against his conviction on March 8, 2013. Supreme Court also rejected his appeal plea on May, 31, 2017. His mercy appeal was rejected by president on August 24, 2017.
