Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued directives to affiliate all seminaries (Deeni Madrassas) with education boards in order to integrate them into national mainstream.
The provincial government has directed the Elementary and Secondary Education department to ensure the process of registration of seminaries within one month.
Secretary Education through a letter has directed administrators of seminaries located in districts DI Khan and Tank to file the details of their respective seminaries in academic section of educational boards.
The provincial government has issued a form to concerned educational boards in which the seminaries were directed to mention their sources of income and other necessary information.
The administrators of these seminaries have expressed their concern over initiation of process of registration of madaris by KP government.
