455 special persons recruited in Rwp division: Commissioner

Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Talat Mehmood Gondal said Monday that 455 special persons have been recruited in government and other departments of the division.
He was addressing a meeting held here to review the recruitment of disabled persons. Director Social Welfare Rawalpindi, Muhammad Aslam Maitla briefed him specially about the recruitment of the disabled persons. Deputy Director Social Welfare, Nabila Malik, Assistant Accounts Officer, Tahir Bashir, Registrar Education Officer Rawalpindi, DHO Health Dr. Tahir Rizvi, Focal person for blind persons, Nabil Satti and others attended the meeting.
Talat Mehmood said that disabled persons in government and private institutions of Rawalpindi, Attock, Jehlum and Chakwal districts have been recruited. He instructed the concerned officers to those institutions where the special persons have been recruited, to treat them in a delicate matter and also guide them.
He directed timely payment of salaries to the disabled persons so that special persons may not face any problem. He said special heed has been paid on home station during recruitment of the special persons so that they may not go to far-flung areas. He said government was utilizing all available resources for recruitment of special persons. He said basic purpose of recruiting the special persons and providing the facilities was that they would not be dependent on anyone.
