Lahore: South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize two day international communication workshop from Oct 30 in Lahore.
Vice President SAARC Chamber, Pak chapter and Chairman United Business Group, Iftikhar Ali Malik told media that the theme of the workshop would be “Strategies and mechanism to optimize the external communication of the SAARC Chamber” in Pakistan.
Unfolding the salient features of workshop, he said that 18 foreign delegates from SAARC member countries including India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan will attend the moot and share their expertise to devise the viable strategy to strengthen relation among the member states.
Explaining the objectives of workshop, he said that participants will learn the basic rules of successful communication, develop content strategy to optimize SCCI’s communication efforts, understand the challenges being confronted besides evolving planning to highlight the importance of national federations for the success of the regional body.
He said that participants will also develop a core strategy statement and message for SCCI and define target audience and identify suitable channels for effective communication to achieve targets.
He said that ways and means will also be thrashed out to workout a mechanism for the maximum proper utilization of external communication regarding the SCCI program and initiatives on the regional and country level in best possible manners.
He said finally participants will also make up a concept (objective, agenda) for the media conference with Pakistani journalists on the concluding day.
Iftikhar Ali Malik said that Senior Faculty Member of Institute of Communication Studies, Punjab University Dr. Waqar Ch will represent Pakistan and present research paper on the this occasion while Hina Saeed, Executive Director,SCCI Islamabad and Dr. Ronald Meinardus, Regional Director, FNF, New Delhi will be the moderators.
