Repression can’t crush Kashmiri’s freedom sentiments: Gilani

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India’s repressive and coercive tactics will not succeed in breaking Kashmiris’ resolve for struggle to secure their right to self-determination.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued after the APHC Executive Council meeting at his residence said, “Being on righteous tack, we and our mission have full sustenance and blessings of Almighty Allah. History stands witness to the fact that right-based movements never fail; however tyrant forces vanish and stand nowhere.”
“Islam, freedom and unity in our folds can lead us to our destiny and if we follow these goals, we will definitely achieve our destination very soon,” he added.
The meeting was attended by the heads or the representatives of Muslim Conference, Tehreek-e-Insaf, Muslim Democratic League, Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Islamic Political Party, Mass Movement, Kashmir Freedom Front, Tehreek-e-Khawateen, People’s Movement, Anjuman Shari-e-Shiaan, Muslim League, DPM and People’s League, according to the statement.
The meeting impressed upon the constituent parties to strengthen public relations and educate youth who were being lured by pro-Indian local parties.
In his address, Gilani holding National Conference (NC) and like-minded parties responsible for the present situation in Kashmir, said, “Unfortunately some people instead of supporting right cause are allying with these wrongdoers.”
“Our struggle for achieving the right to self-determination is based on right and sacred ideology. Millions have offered their sacred sacrifices while nourishing this mission with their blood,” he said and directed all constituent parties to strengthen public relations.
