Birmingham: The former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir and the president of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (Kashmir chapter) Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chudhary has said that the day was not far when ceasefire line, dividing two Kashmirs, would crumble like Berlin Wall.
The PTI chief made these assertions while addressing a kicking off ceremony of Kashmir-Week here in Birmingham on Monday. Speaking on the occasion the PTI president said that international community should take effective cognizance of the human rights violations in IHK and unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian forces on the line of control. Urging international community to take stock of the situation in the region Chudhary said that rising tensions on the LoC and unabated ceasefire violations by Indian forces can trigger a war between the two nuclear states at any time, which he said could jeopardize the world peace.
He said that Indian forces were targeting civilian population on the LoC which amounts to a flagrant violation of international law. Stressing the need for early resolution of Kashmir dispute Barrister Chudhary said that he would continue to highlight the plight of Kashmiris at international level besides exposing the real face of India before the international community. He urged the Kashmiri Diaspora community settled in European countries to come forward in a big way and participate in million-march being organised in Berlin on October 27. The event (Kashmir Week) he said was being organized in different European countries with sole purpose to sensitize world community about the early resolution of Kashmir dispute that has been a bone of contention between India and Pakistan.
