Islamabad: (Parliament Times) To mark October 2017 as the Breast Cancer Awareness month, Islamabad Diagnostic Centre (Pvt) Ltd being a premier diagnostic facility in the twin city is actively participating by offering 50% discount on all Breast Cancer Diagnostic tests such as X-Ray Mammography, Sono Mammography, MR Mammography, FNACs, Tru cut Biopsies and Tumor Markers for month of October.
As the ratio of breast cancer in women is alarmingly increased in the last few decades IDC aims to educate all women about its prevention & early diagnosis. Different activities like online awareness campaigns on various social mediums, bulk emails, e-brochures, in-house awareness sessions etc. have been organized by IDC to highlight the issue.
A spokesperson for the diagnostic centre said, IDC is the only diagnostic facility in the region which is performing Digital Mammography with state of the art, high definition AMULET system by FUJIFILM providing pixel pitch of 50 µm, the world’s smallest from a direct-conversion FPD system.
The easiest way to tackle breast cancer is detecting it early. Statistics show that there is a 98% survival rate for females with early detection of breast cancer and a mere 27% chance of survival if the disease is diagnosed in advanced stage. Islamabad Diagnostic Centre is a leading diagnostic centre providing 360 degree spectrum of radiology, pathology and related medical facilities with an ISO 9001 certification by URS and UKAS. For safety parameters IDC is also accredited by PNRA ISO 15189:2012.
