Islamabad: Pakistan on Sunday strongly condemned unprovoked firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) across the Line of Control last night.
In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson strongly condemned India’s deliberate targeting of innocent civilians. A woman was martyred and two civilian injured due to unprovoked firing by the Indian army from across the Line of Control in Kotli Sector on Saturday night. The 22-year-old old girl was identified as Tashiba.
He said such acts of belligerence while UNGA session is underway contradicts India’s own statements and violates UN Charter and relevant humanitarian laws. “We condemn in strongest terms India’s deliberate targeting of innocent civilians. Our heart goes out 2families of bereaved & those injuredâ€, he said. He said such acts by India pose grave threat to regional peace and security.
