ISLAMABAD: State Minister for interior Talal Chaudhry has said if constitution gives the right to seek review against court verdict to million of Pakistani then why Nawaz Sharif can not enjoy this right.
“Terrorists have right to appeal. Has this right been given to Nawaz Sharif or otherwise. If the constitution gives right to file review petition against court decision to million of Pakistanis then why Nawaz Sharif can not exercise this right. Why this right has been snatched from Nawaz Sharif. We have filed the application in the court to meet the requirements of justiceâ€, he said this while talking to media men here Wednesday.,
He went on to say “ our questions are very clear. These are not only limited to Sharif family. Was any Prime Minister (PM) disqualified in the past this way, he questioned.
He held people and lawyers have rejected the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif. If any mistake has been committed then it should be corrected, he added.
Chaudhry said Nawaz Sharif is demanding his right. It is not any intransigence. We respect the institutions. There should be legislation against the insult of voters, he remarked.
