Brussels: A seminar was arranged in Brussels against a plan of Indian BJP regime for amendment in constitution of India in order to change special status of Kashmir and specially changing in demographic position in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK). The seminar was organized by Kashmir Council EU in the capital city of Belgium.
Pertinently Article 35A of the Constitution of India restricts any Indian citizens other than state subjects of Jammu and Kashmir from acquiring immovable properties or having voting rights.
Speaking at the seminar, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said, it is a conspiracy by India to change population ratio in IHK. It is against International norms and we will move against this evil plan.
Mr Ali Raza Syed said, freedom is basic element for human development and prosperity but people of Kashmir are also deprived of freedom. India not only prevented the basic democratic rights including right of self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir while it has also prohibited the freedom of expression and free travel and movement of the people. Now, New Delhi wants to change population ratio of Kashmir by settling people from other areas of India. Chairman Kashmir Council EU emphasized that this is a pretext for stopping the people from their right of self-determination but India cannot stop the people of Kashmir for a long time as the Kashmiris have firm determination to continue their genuine struggle.
Other speakers of the seminar also emphasized on adoption of a joint strategy in order to internationally oppose the Indian evil plan.
They called upon international community specially European Union (EU) to play their role in prevention of such Indian malicious plan. They said, an effective role EU for settlement of Kashmir issue according to the wishes of the people of Kashmir is required.
As saying this is a serious issue, the speakers called for an immediate focus of international community specially EU on Indian plan for demographic change in IHK.
They also called for an end to the horrendous human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The international community should break the silence on Kashmir issue and at least should speak up for the rights of the Kashmiri peopleâ€, they said.
