Molana Obaidullah Farooqi calls on AJK president
Islamabad: (Parliament Times) A delegation headed by Molana Obaidullah Farooqi, Chairman AJK Ulema
and Mashaikh Council called upon AJK president Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan at his office in Islamabad on Thursday.
Issues related to district Mong, AJK were discussed in detail during the meeting. The delegation presented its proposals for the uplift of Mong and requested the President for his support in development projects to which he assured his full support. The President asserted that focused efforts are needed in providing health and educational facilities to the population of Mong.
President instructed expansion and introduction of new disciplines at Mong Campus of the University of Poonch wherein only Geology is taught presently. The President welcomed the proposals of the delegation for improving the agriculture sector in AJK by utilizing the uncultivated lands and introducing intensive mechanized farming techniques.
On the request of Molana Obaidullah Farooqi, the President announced that a library would be established at Mong and a suitable donation would be given for its commencement. The President said on the occasion that development of AJK is a priority that this government will focus on and he hoped that no tehsil, district or division is left behind.
