Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that Indian restrictions on the freedom of civil liberties, arrests of Hurriyat leaders, sanctions on religious and social gatherings in occupied Kashmir have left India and its so-called democracy exposed at international level.
Terming Kashmir issue as an unfinished agenda of partition, the AJK PM said that the issue must be resolved in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people and in line with the UN resolutions.
While talking to a TV news channel he said that scraping of Article 370 of Indian constitution was a conspiracy to change the demography of state permanently by settling non-local residents in Kashmir.
Terming AJK as Pakistan’s first defense line he said that protecting the green flag was first and foremost priority of every Kashmiri. Responding to a query Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan said that unity at all levels was direly needed at this crucial point of time.
In response to another question, he said that former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has the privilege and honour to highlight the Kashmir Issue at all international fora like UN. Before addressing the United Nations General Assembly session Khan said that the former premier visited Muzaffarabad and consulted Kashmiri leadership.
Terming freedom movement of occupied Kashmir as one of his government’s top priorities he said, “We want all political parties in IHK should unite under the banner of All Parties Hurriyat Conferenceâ€. He said that his government was fully aware of its responsibilities regarding the freedom movement and development of AJK.
