RAWALPINDI: (Parliament Times) Non induction of regular principal in 24 colleges including 14 Girls colleges in Rawalpindi district is adversely affecting administrative and management related matters therein .
The element of adhoc-ism reigns supreme in these colleges as lower grade teachers are working as acting principal.
Higher Education Department Punjab has sought detailed reports about the colleges running without principal.
Posts of principal of grade 19 and 20 are lying vacant in 14 Girls degree colleges in Rawalpindi district. These colleges are government degree college for girls, Mohan Pura, Doultala, Gawalmandi, Sahal, Kotli Sattian, Phagwari, Dhok Ratta, Dhok Hussoo, Peshawar More, Murree , Zafar ul Haq road, Taxila, Wah Cantt, Kalar Syedan.
Like wise the posts of principal are lying vacant in 10 boys colleges including Government Gordon college, Government Hashmat Ali college, Govt degree college Gujjar Khan, Kalar Syedan, Doultala, Chakri, Chak Beli Khan, Kotli Sattian and Taxial.
The students and their parents have appealed to the education minister to ensure induction of principal in these colleges on top property basis as in the absence of regular principal management and educational activities are not going on satisfactorily in these colleges..
