ISLAMABAD: State minister for information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that 18 prime ministers have come in country’s 70 years history but non among them has completed his term . “ as many as 18 ministers have come in Pakistan in its 70 years history but no one among them could complete his mandated tenure. All the institutions will have to adhere to law and constitution. Why it is so in the history of Pakistan. Assemblies are dissolved from time to time. During dictatorial regime newspapers were published containing only blank paper†she said this while inaugurating painting exhibition in Lok Virsa Museum here Friday. She went on to say Parliament is the most independent institution of the country. Therefore, all the institutions will have to respect parliament because if parliament is independent and there will be people in the parliament then there can be any talk about the rights of people of Pakistan therein, she added. She remarked dictatorial rule remained in place for 9 years after 1999. What development was achieved during these 9 years. When we make comparison between dictatorship and democracy then its reply will come out automatically, she added. She observed that in 2013 the country had plunged into darkness as 18 hours long load shedding was being observed. Nawaz Sharif had pledged that there would be zero loadshedding in Pakistan in 2018. Nawaz Sharif did practical work for ending loadshedding. There can be no awareness about rights and duties without reading constitution , she said adding Pakistan can not make progress without continuity of democracy. There is need to protect the will of people of Pakistan, she remarked. First time in Pakistan education reforms were introduced. Every child is attaining education free of cost, she held. No allegation of corruption is there in any project against the government, she stated.
