QUETTA: (Parliament Times) Balochistan government is striving for growth of forests as to make province self-sufficient in production of timber and firewood.
The Chief Conservator of Forest Department Balochistan told Radio Pakistan Quetta, a project of establishing of forest school in Ziarat district is being executed at a cost of more than 176 million rupees.
He said that nurseries are being established in different districts of the province to enhance production of Juniper, Sheena, Olive, and nut pine at a cost of 123 million rupees.
Similarly, a project of conservation of forests in different areas is also being executed at a cost of 50 million rupees.
