Lahore: 5-days professional rescue course being organized by Falah e Insaniat Foundation (FIF) has been started at Rescue Training Institute, Wapda Town here in Sunday
According to a spokesman of FIF, volunteers from Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Azad Kashmir have joined the course. Volunteers have been trained about rescue in flood, earthquake, accidents and other emergency situations. “Well-known instructors are delivering lectures through modern equipments, on different topics like firefighting, first aid in accidents, search and rescue etcâ€, the statement said.
In case of rains and floods, Special training about Swimming, boat driving and shifting affectees to safe place has also been included in the course.
Chairman FIF Hafiz Abdul Rauf said, “Our target is to provide rescue training to 100 thousand people in whole country. Till now, Rescue Training has been delivered to 46 thousand people. Rescue training workshops are held in every nook and cranny of Pakistan including Azad Kashmir.â€
