Berlin, Hamburg: The former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and president Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (K-chapter) Chudhary Sultan Mehmood has said that on the occasion G-20 summit Kashmiri expatriate community settled in European countries and other parts of the world would gather in Hamburg-Germany on July, 8 to stage a protest demonstration to highlight the plight of Kashmiris besides exposing atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in occupied Kashmir.
Barrister Chudhary made these remarks while addressing a reception ceremony held in his honour in Berlin on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the PTI president urged the Diaspora community to come forward in a big way to express solidarity with the people of Kashmiri people who he said were being subjected worst kind of oppression and suppression for their just demand of right to self-determination.
He said that as the world media would remain focused on G-20 Summit it was a golden opportunity to seek international community’s attention towards the simmering situation in Kashmir and let the global community know about Indian war crimes and trampling of human rights of Kashmiris by Indian troops in held Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the PTI president on his arrival to Hamburg visited the venue of protest and reviewed the arrangement being made for the event. He expressed the hope that the event being held at this point of time would prove as turning point for the freedom struggle of Kashmir. Later the PTI president offered Friday prayers at a local mosque. After the prayer Barrister Chudhary urged the Kashmiri and Pakistanis settled in Hamburg to participate in the protest to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren.
