Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik while hitting out at Indian forces’ personnel for thrashing civilians and arresting youth at various places in the territory has said that victimization of common people is aimed at intimidating the Kashmiris into submission.
Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Terrorists in uniform have no respect for holy month of Ramadan, women and children as they only know how to kill, maim, blind and humiliate whosoever comes their way.â€
He warned Indian occupational forces and their masters to remember that terrorism against common people could never force the Kashmiris into submission. We will keep resisting this state terrorism till the achievement of the desired goal, he said.
Yasin Malik condemned the use of force at Drubgam in Pulwama where a civilian, Altaf Ahmad Zargar, was critically injured in the forces’ action. He also denounced the excesses by Indian troops in Bandipora, Kulgam and Shopian areas and arrest of dozens of youth in Ganderbal.
“Attacks on civilian population are a sign of frustration of India and its Kashmiri stooges who have failed in forcing the Kashmiris into submission despite use of force,†the JKLF Chairman said. He maintained that the assault on civilians had once again exposed the ugly face of so-called democracy in Kashmir and the criminal silence of the puppet rulers on these attacks.
Yasin Malik deplored that the Kashmiri people continued to face the atrocities even in the holy month of Ramadan with Indian forces’ personnel continuing to beat women and children and maim and blind the young generation.
The criminal silence of the PDP-led regime on these attacks speaks volumes about their anti-Muslim and anti-Kashmiri attitude, he said, and warned that people would not remain silent if these excesses were not stopped immediately.
