Trader gunned-down while resisting against a robbery bid

Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A trader has been gunned-down while resisting against a robbery bid within the Sadiqabad Police jurisdiction.

Three unidentified armed persons stormed into Mehboob Bakery, held owner Mehboob Elahi hostage at gunpoint and asked him to hand over valuables. The trader resisted against the robbers and armed men started firing, leaving trader fatally injured.
The injured was rushed to local hospital, however, he succumbed to injuries.

The armed person also made off with cash, cell phones and other belongings.

The deceased who was identified 54 year old trader Mehboob Elahi, was shot in chest.

The police have launched investigation.
