Islamabad:(Parliament Times) Voicing their serious concern over the Indian belligerence on the LoC, the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan and Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan during a meeting here on Thursday denounced in strong terms the Indian naked aggression and unprovoked shelling by its [Indian] forces along the line of control.
Both the leaders who met here at Kashmir House observed Indian forces’ shelling and targeting unarmed civilian population across the ceasefire line was a flagrant violation of International Law. They said it was incumbent upon international community to take effective cognizance of the ceasefire violations committed by Indian troops on the LoC.
Paying eulogizing tributes to Hizb Commander Sabzar Ahmed Bhat they said that Kashmiris were proud of their valiant sons who have been rendering unprecedented sacrifices to achieve the cherished goal of right to self-determination. They expressed the optimism that day was not far when Kashmiris’ would materialize their dream of freedom. Both the leaders vehemently condemned the ongoing reign of Indian brutalities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir saying that Indian brute forces have unleashed rein of terror in the region. They said that during the holy month of Ramzan Kashmiris were being subjected to worst kind of oppression and suppression. They said that during the recent pate of state sponsored violence in Kashmir, Indian occupation forces have martyred 13 innocent Kashmiris.
Both the leaders after discussing maters relating to good governance in the region expressed their resolve to make government-run institutions more strong and pro-active. They said that steps would be taken to enhance capacity building at all levels. The duo expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister of Pakistan for increasing development funds for AJK. They said that PM Sharif was taking keen interest in the development of the region. The AJK president said that it was for the first time in the history that there was two-fold increase in development budget. He said that it was now prime responsibility of the government to make sure better use of development funds, quality and speedy completion of development projects so that the projects could be completed on time.
