PARC scientists played vital role in self-sufficiency in food security: Bosan

Islamabad: (Parliament Times) While appreciating PARC scientist’s role in making country self-sufficient in food security the federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan on Friday said, “We have bumper crops production this year and this is due to farmers and agriculture experts struggle. Country is now not only self-sufficient in food but also is in position to export food commodities.”

The Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research said this while addressing on the occasion of oath taking ceremony of PARC scientists association (PARSA) at NARC. Bosan said, “We have to work more efficiently because there are lots of challenges in future regarding food security. Our poor farmers are looking towards us that how agriculture scientists help us to boost our production and making country self-sufficient”.

Dr. Yusuf Zafar (T.I), Chairman PARC expressed the hope that the scientists will work vigorously for betterment of organization and development of agriculture sector.
Dr. Taj Naseeb Khan, newly elected President, PARSA said that federal minister did a lot for agricultural development and betterment of PARC. He said that PARSA will work together with Chairman PARC for betterment of the organization.
Aziz Ullah Shah, newly elected General Secretary, PARSA thanked all participants at the occasion and said that funds needed for PARC were being approved from Government. He assured that hard work will be continued for betterment of agricultural production and making country self-sufficient in food.
