Muzaffarabad: The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.While addressing the the ceremony of the death anniversaries of the Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone here on Sunday the prime minister said that Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Abdul Ghani Lone are among martyrs whose struggle and sacrifices will always be remembered.He condemned the Indian atrocities and human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by Indian forces and asked the Indian government to end brutalities and detention of Hurriyat leaders, lift curfew, and allow international media to visit Kashmir.They also asked the international community and the international human rights organisations to take notice of the atrocities and violation of human rights in Kashmir.He said, the example of Indian forces’ brutality is hard to be found in history. “We have to continuously raise our voice against the Indian brutalities,†he added. He said the world cannot turn away its eyes from Kashmir Issue and its people’s legitimate struggle for right to self-determination will continue till complete success. He said that Molvi Mirwaiz Farooq himself endured hardships of jails, torture and oppression in the way of freedom but never surrendered before tyranny and oppression.
The Prime Minister recalling the efforts and sacrifices of Abdul Ghani Lone said that he was a preeminent politician, intellectual and a humble human being who fought for the cause of freedom, tolerated all hardships, sufferings and miseries but never compromised on his principles.He said that Abdul Ghani Lone rejected power and position and joined the freedom struggle and never looked back. He said that Nation would never overlook the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris for the freedom struggle.He said that on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of the two great leaders the government of AJK remembered them and prayed to Allah Almighty for elevation of their position in Jannah.
Naib Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sheikh Aqil ur Rehman,MLA Naseema Wani,Mushtaq ul Islam,secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell Idrees Abbasi and other leaders also paid tributes to the martyrs of freedom movement.
Meanwhile the Prime Minister visited the patients at CMH and inquired their health and medical facilities they had.The Prime Minister also expressed sympathies for the victims of road accident at Chakkar.He was accompanied by member AJK Assembly and advisor to Prime Minister Khan Bahadar Khan on the occasion.
