Faisalabad: Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Salman Ghani has said that under the directions of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a comprehensive strategy has been evolved for holding of 19 Ramzan Bazars in the district in order to provide the essential commodities to the consumers on subsidized and control rates.The Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani said this while presiding over a coordination meeting with local body heads and other relevant authorities here on Thursday. Mayor Municipal Corporation Faisalabad Muhammad Razzaq Malik, ADC R Muhammad Shahid, EADA Agriculture Marketing Tanveer Shami and Chief Officers were also present in the meeting.The Deputy Commissioner said that the meetings with the traders of fruit & vegetable markets, sugar linkers, poultry association, meat merchants and other stake holders had been held to devise the mechanism for the uninterrupted supply of consumer items.
He informed that plan had also been prepared for the provision of cheep flour and sugar under Punjab Govt. directions. “The Special Price Control Magistrates would also remain active to check the prices of essential items in general marketâ€, he said adding that foolproof security, parking facilities, cleanliness and other necessary arrangements would also be made in the Ramzan Bazars.
He told the participants of the meeting that Ramzan Sehar and Iftaar Dastarkhwan would also be arranged with the cooperation of the local philanthropists. “Direct monitoring of the Ramzan Bazars would be carried out by the Punjab govt. with modern information technology and CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif would see the arrangements of any Ramzan Bazar in the province through this systemâ€, the commissioner said. He said that Ramzan Bazaars would also be supervised by Provincial Ministers, high ranking provincial officers, parliamentarians, divisional and district administrations.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the Chairmen of Municipal and Town Committees to play their vital role for successful holding of Ramzan Bazars adding that necessary repair and maintenance would also be made to the structure of Sahulat Bazars to convert them into Ramzan Bazaars.Mayor Municipal Corporation Muhammad Razzaq Malik assured his all out cooperation for the arrangements of Ramzan Bazaar and said that the mission of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif would be achieved regarding provision of maximum economic relief to the consumers during the holy month of Ramzan.
