Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) A delegation of Central Bar Association called on the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and demanded the early resolution of their issues.
While talking to the delegation the prime minister Farooq Haider assured the lawyers that their issues would be resolved accordingly.
The Prime Minister said that welfare of the lawyers community was one of the top priorities of his government.
” Grant would be allocated for the medical treatment of the lawyers in upcoming budget,the salaries of public prosecutors would be raised, other facilities like cafeteria,furniture,photostats,
phone and fax would also be provided for the Bar.
The prime minister further said that eliminating corruption was a big challenge for his government, but he was determined to fight it. He said the previous government failed to deliver because of bad governance and institutionalised corruption.
“PML-N has a clear road map of tackling corruption and establishing good governance for which people of AJK gave us huge mandate in the elections,†he said.
Haider said the government had enough funds to exploit the tourism and hydroelectric potential of the state to create jobs for the local youth.
The AJK prime minister also lauded the services of lawyers for the stability of democratic system and supremacy of constitution in the country.
Haider condemned the massive human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) by the Indian army. He praised the lawyers’ community in IoK for their efforts to highlight these abuses.
The delegation was comprised of Secretary General Bar Haroon Riaz advocate,Faisal Mehmood advocate,Ashfaq Kazmi advocate,Junaid Chughtai advocate,Abrar Ahmed advocate ,Waheed Awan advocate and Syed Wasif Shah.
Meanwhile The Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has taken the immediate notice of a incident of murder in Bhimber district and ordered the administration to submit a detailed report of the incident to the Prime Minister office at earliest.
