Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Denouncing stepped-up human rights violations by occupation forces in Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has said that the occupation forces’ brutal attack against students in Srinagar and attacks on nomadic families by Hindu extremists amply demonstrated the fact as how India was using fear and oppression as a policy to subjugate Kashmiris.
The President of AJK made these remarks while speaking to a delegation of APHC leaders who called on him here at Kashmir House on Tuesday. The delegation was led by Syed Faiz Naqashbandi the convener of APHC, AJK and Pakistan Chapter.
India he said wanted to intimidate youth and students who were demanding liberty and right to self-determination. “That’s why India occupation forces have been targeting campuses of educational institutions to harass and to persecute unarmed girls and boys studying in colleges and schoolsâ€, he maintained.
“Kashmiri youth will not be cowed down by such cowardly attacks. They have reason and would not relent until Kashmiris rights are fully respected and protectedâ€, the AJK president said.
Khan said that people of the liberated region express full solidarity with their brothers and sisters in the occupied Kashmir and would continue to give their unstinted moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.
Urging India to shun the path of violence and war the president stated that it was time that India should cooperate with Kashmiris and Pakistan to explore a political resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
