Kashmiri journalist community set to organize cricket tournament in Islamabad

Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Kashmiri journalist community is set to organize a cricket tournament likely to commence in the first week of May.

Shahzad Rathore, the chairman of the Tournament Committee while divulging the details of the tournament told the media men here on Monday that the tournament being held under the aegis Kashmiri journalists community was being sponsored by “Mera Power Limited”. Rathore said that nine teams participating in the tournament included Daily Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmir Link, Kashmir Express, Kashmir Times, Sada-e-Chinar, Gilgit Baltistan Journalist Forum, Kashmir Electronic Media, Kashmir Beat Reporters Association and Rawalpindi Islamabad Bureau Journalist Eleven. He said that the respective teams would be allotted kits whereas refreshment would be provided to players as well as the guests.

Rathore said that Trophe unveiling ceremony would be held a day before the tournament at National press club Islamabad.
