MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has said that steps will be taken to promote State’s culture and for the protection of historical cultural heritage of Azad Kashmir. He added that AJK government will play its role to preserve the culture of Kashmir. He said that due to modernization the old traditions and culture were being now overlapped by modern culture and it had rendered loss to the historical culture and traditions of Kashmir. While addressing a meeting of board of governors of Kashmir Cultural Academy on Saturday, he said that despite the forceful and illegal occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces people of Kashmir had preserved their culture. Earlier while addressing a prayer function for Muhammad Shafih Awan PM AJK said that truth had become rare in politics. He said that in the past as an opposition leader he raised the voice for the underprivileged segment of the society and now he was taking steps to remove backwardness of the underdeveloped areas.
