Islamabad: (Parliament Times) A meeting of PML (N) senior leaders belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has appointed Amir Muqam as party’s provincial President and Murtaza Javed Abbassi the General Secretary.
The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was held in Islamabad on Monday.
On the occasion, Nawaz Sharif who is also party’s president and other leaders of the PML (N) paid tributes to the services of former provincial party President Peer Sabir Shah and former General Secretary Rehmat Salaam Khattak.
Nawaz Sharif expressed confidence that new provincial office bearers will take along the party workers and devote all their energies to further strengthen the PML (N) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Prime Minister said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has always remained a stronghold for PML (N) and it will give outstanding performance in the next general elections.
On the occasion, the new provincial president and the general secretary assured they will make all out efforts to form the PML (N) government in the next general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and remove the sense of deprivation of the people of the province.
The meeting was attended amongst others by Raja Zafarul Haq, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Amir Muqam, Murtaza Javed Abbassi, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Dr Asif Kirmani and Sir Anjaam Khan .
