AJK PM ask Saudi Arabia to play role for peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue
Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan Abdul Aziz Al Ghadir has called on AJK prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and discussed different issues of Muslim Ummah with him. Speaking on the occasion prime minister told the ambassador that India has turned entire occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a jail. Around 800,000 Indian army sealed the valley and Kashmiris from all age groups including women and children are being targeted by the occupying army. He said that Kashmiris demanding their democratic rights are being responded with bullets while at the same time Indian army also usurped the religious rights of the people if Kashmir by locking down the mosque and not allowing the faithful to enter the places of worship. The prime minister further told that recently OIC decided to send its human rights commission to the occupied valley which was not allowed by the Indian authorities. Raja Farooq Haider Kahn said that India is commuting war crimes by keeping Kashmiri people under its subjugation through military might. He called upon the government of Saudi Arab to play its roles for the peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue. AJK Prime minister also expressed his profound gratitude to the government and people of Saudi Arabia for their generous support to the AJK people after devastating earthquake of 2005. He said that the role of Saudi Arabia would never be forgotten in relief and rehabilitation of the victims of earthquake. The Saudi Ambassador on this occasion said that his country would continue its support to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and development and welfare of the AJK region. He said that he is fully aware of the love and respect of his country by the people of Azad Kashmir and occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile Overseas Commissioner for overseas Zubair Gul and prominent social leader in UK Barrister Abid called on Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and discussed problems being faced by the overseas Kashmiris and Pakistanis. They also discussed with Prime Minister matters relating to foreign investment in AJK. Prime Minister told them about the steps being taken by AJK government for addressing the genuine problems of overseas and about the establishment of Overseas Facilitation Cell. The AJK Prime Minister acknowledged the significant role being played by Overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris for the cause of Kashmir and said his government took a number of steps to create an environment conducive for investment in tourism and hydropower generation sector. He said that his government is trying to make sure provision of all possible facilities to the intending investors with the aim to boost the economy of the state and prosperity of the people.
