Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) continued its election boycott campaign urging people to stay away from the sham elections.
The JKLF leaders, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Javed Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Ishaaq Ganaie and others are running this campaign in south Kashmir while Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Siddique Shah, Muhammad Hanif, Peer Abdul Rashid, Nazir Ahmad Hajam, Abul Hamid Malik, and Nisar Ahmad continued their door to door campaign in central Kashmir.
Similarly, Muhammad Iqbal and Ghulam Hassan continued their efforts in Kulgam while Yasir Ahmad and Shafat Ahmad ran campaign in Ganderbal district. Various areas visited by JKLF leaders and activists included Kanjiular, Adjan, Matipora, Berthipora, Betamaran in Shupian, Maisuma, Gawkadal, Basant Bagh, Ganpatyaar, Nai Sadak, Manderbagh, Saida Kadal,Hassan Abad, Moti Mohalla and Nishat in Srinagar, Khansahib, Kremshura, Wagur, Draigam, Burgoo, Chadoora, Bogam,Kralpora and Machowa in Budgam, Mohanpora, Chaunsar, Chawalgam and Badroo Yaripora in Kulgam, Darend, Hudoora, Aalsataing and Busarbugh in Ganderbal and Behrampora, Nandpora, Mandwar, Sofi Pora ,Dantar and Khanbal in Islamabad district.
Appealing people to boycott upcoming election drama, JKLF leaders distributed written messages from joint resistance leadership urging them to stay away from voting on 9th and 12th April.
The JKLF leaders, Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Zahoor Ahmad Butt also addressed various gatherings during their campaign.
