Rawalpindi: Parliament Times) The Rawalpindi Railway Department has approved to give 100 acres of land on lease for a period of three years to overcome the mounting financial deficit.
The Railway Rawalpindi department would be able to generate revenue amounting to Rs150 million with leasing out this land.
According to sources, The Railway Ministry has also given approval to lease out 100 acres land, which would be used for Car parking, market purpose. An official on condition of anonymity said that Railway hospital cafeteria is also being given on lease from which revenue around Rs0.4 million would be generated.
The homework for giving barren land on lease has also been completed.
It is pertinent to mention here that Railway department is keen to give 100 acres of land on lease to overcome the growing financial deficit of the department .
