Rawalakot: (Parliament Times) President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan as directed the official concerned to ensure construction of roads and bridges funded by Asian Development Bank on time and according to specification. He was talking to the officials after a briefing about the ongoing development projects of roads and bridges at Rawlakot circuit house here on Thursday. The project director Raja Muhammad Shareef briefs the President about the projects. The President was told in the briefing that development work on seven projects of the total ten has been started and all the projects being executed with the estimate cost of 4.24 billion would be completed by March and April this year. Rs. 560 million would be spent on construction and improvement of small roads projects while 3249 million would be spent on construction and improvement of big roads. The president was further told that development work on Azad Pattan Rawlakot has been started under which twenty kilometer road would be carpeted along with construction of retaining walls. Similarly construction work Tata Pani Hijeera Kotli road, Abbasspur, Mehmoor Gali road, Lessdan Mehmoor Gali road, Tararkhal Hijeera road, Rawlakot Arja road, Khaigala Ali Sojal road,Mujahidabad, Horna Mera road, Mongthorar Rawlakot road, Shaeed Galla Androta road, Thorar Tain raod, Rawalakot singola road, Abbaspur chitrikot road, Hijeera Seri road, Kahota Hajee Peer road and Lass Dana Hajee peer road is in progress. The president while expressing is satisfaction over the pace of development work directed that all the projects should be completed within time and according to specification. He said that delay in development projects escalate the cost putting additional burden on national kitty.
Later addressing a public gathering held in connection with the 287th death anniversary of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Kralvi at Nakyal on Wednesday Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan paid glowing tributes to Sardar Karailvi for his great services to Kashmir Freedom struggle and welfare of the people of Azad Kashmir. He said that we enjoy an environment of peace and freedom because of the sacrifices given by our elders like Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Krailvi and Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan.
