Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Ibrahim Zia paid a surprise visit to District Court Complex here.
Accompanied by honourable judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan, the Chief Justice interacted with Bar members, senior lawyers including President of the Bar Raja Aftab, Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Raja Ibrar Hussain, Haji Ashraf, Manzoor Qadir Advocate and court staff and Judicial Officers to ascertain functioning of the courts.
Chief Justice Chaudhry Ibrahim Zia inspected District and Session Court, Additional District and Session Court, Senior Civil Judge Court, Civil Judge Court No 1, Court No 4 and other courts The Chief Justice issued directions for speedy disposal of old cases and display of Cause List of the cases at prominent place with clear details of the nature of cases. He issued directions for prioritizing and speeding up disposal of cases in pursuance to Supreme Court’s direction.
The Chief justice also talked with litigants and listen their grievances. Earlier Chief Justice took a round of the compound of revenue stamp sellers outside the District Courts Complex and listen their problems. The Chief Justice announced to provide corrugated sheets for construction of sheds
