Palandari: (Parliament Times) The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said the government is utilizing all available resources to uphold merit and rule of law.
Addressing a public gathering in Palandri Pattan Sher Khan on Monday, he said good governance, provision of quality education and better health facilities are among the top priorities of the present government. The President said the government is taking revolutionary steps for development and prosperity of people in Azad Kashmir.
The President expressed his hope that all problems being faced by the people of Azad Kashmir would be resolved in five years tenure of the present government. He said Muzaffarabad- Mirpur Motorway would pass through the Pattan Sher Khan and people of this area will adequately benefit from it. He said AJK region will soon witness an era of unprecedented progress and urged the people to enhance their capabilities to benefit from the revolutionary development.
President Sardar Masood Khan highly appreciated the role of two elected representatives of the area, Dr Najib Naqi and Sehrish Qammar who are playing a vital role for the development of the area and welfare of their constituents.
He said that people of AJK has great responsibility to play for freedom of Kashmir and for this they will have to demonstrate complete unity by setting aside all kind of prejudices. Speaking on the occasion Minister for Finance, Dr Najib Naqi said entire electricity supply system is being upgraded with the estimated cost of over eight billion rupees to provide uninterrupted power supply to the people. Member AJK Legislative Assembly Sehrish Qammar in her speech said that educated youths of Azad Kashmir would be provided jobs through the fair and transparent recruiting system. She said fate of the people would be turned under the dynamic leadership of President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan and Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan.
Referring to the freedom movement in Occupied Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan said matchless sacrifices being rendered by Kashmir people would yield results soon. He said that people Jammu and Kashmir are determined to continue and their sacrifices for the freedom of their motherland from Indian subjugation would not go in waste
