Constitutional reforms to empower AJK govt, people soon: Raja Farooq Haider

Bhimber: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that constitutional reforms agenda of AJK government would be deliberated upon in an informal meeting of AJK cabinet on March 18.
Addressing a reception hosted in his honor by prominent political and social leaders of Panairi Raja Forqan Saleem and Raja Shezad Saleem on Monday he said that bringing amendments in AJK Interim Constitution, Act 1974 is an extra ordinary step taken by his government which would have far reaching positive effects on the future of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The prime Minister said that before bringing constitutional reforms opposition parties of state, media and constitutional experts would also be consulted. He said that road from Mirpur to Bhimber would be upgraded besides establishing a state of the art Poly Technical institute at Bhimber. He said that a new era of development would usher in after the budget as federal government is generously providing required funds for the development of liberated area. He further said that there would be no discrimination of South and North in matters of development by the government. The Prime Minister directed the party workers to start preparations for the forthcoming local bodies elections and reiterated that 25% seats in local bodies elections would be reserved for male and female youth of the state.
Speaking on the occasion senior Minister Ch.Tariq Farooq expressed his profound gratitude to the prime Minister for taking keen interest in the development of Bhimber and Mirpur. The reception was also addressed by Brigadier Retired Raja Muhammad Saeed and Raja Ejaz Saleem Khan. The function was attended by AJK Minister for Sports, Youth and Cultur, Ch.Muhammad Saeed, Minister for Food Shoukat Ali Shah, Member AJK Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Rukhsar Ahmed, Col. Waqar Ahmed Noor, Additional IG Sardar Faheem Abbasi, DIG Sardar Rashid Naeem and others top officials of the government beside large number of people from Punjari and Bhimber.
