Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Describing women as an important part of society, AJK minister for information Mushtaq Minhas has said no society can achieve prosperity by neglecting their role in development of the country. Addressing a seminar on the eve of world women day here on Wednesday. He said that Muslim women of subcontinent under the leadership of Quaid Azam had played an important role on freedom moment of Pakistan and now women of occupied Kashmir are playing a significant in Kashmir liberation struggle. He said that women in Azad Kashmir have significant role for development of the liberated area and for supporting their brothers and sisters struggling for their right to self determination in other side of the loC. The minister paid glowing tributes to the women of occupied Kashmir for their courageous struggle under the leadership of Mohterma Asia Andarabi. Mushtaq Minhas appeal to the international community to take serious notice against the inhuman cruelties by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. The minister said that AJK government under the leadership of Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan is taking tangible steps for the development and empowerment of women and to make them valuable and useful members of the society. The AJK government, he added is providing equal opportunities of education and employment to the women in the state.
