The leaders of various political parties lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan for using harsh words for international players who visited Lahore for the final match of Pakistan Super League 2.
“Imran cannot conceal his pettiness and jealousy,” Punjab Minister for law Rana Sanaullah said while talking to the media on Tuesday. “He should have [instead] contributed to the success of PSL.”
Sanaullah added Imran’s comments would harm no one but himself.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Faisal Sabzwari also condemned the Imran’s statements, saying the PTI chief’s words sounded like those coming from an enemy of Pakistan.
“Imran’s comments sounded racist,” he said. “[Return of cricket] to Pakistan is a direct response to terrorists.”
Minister of State for Information Maryam Aurangzeb said, “The use of petty words were a reflection of Imran’s mentality.”
She added if the final match of PSL was madness then the nation will continue to respond to terrorism this way.
The PTI chief, while talking to the media Monday evening, had used harsh words against the international players who were visiting Lahore for the final match of PSL 2.
He belittled the players, claiming he did not know their names.
