Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation department claimed to have earned Rs2.5 million revenue from auctioning 236 golden numbers for vehicles and motorcycles in Rawalpindi.
Around 100 numbers were sold for vehicles, while 136 golden numbers were sold for motorcycles in total. The auctioning process of number plates was successfully held under the ETO Motor Branch Masood Basheer.
The number 5 was purchased by a bidder in Rs85,000, while the bidder purchased 1 number in Rs70,000. Meanwhile, the bidder purchased no 2 in Rs14,000, no 3 in Rs26,000, no 4 in 41,000 no 5, Rs85000, no 7 in Rs73,000, no 8 in Rs22000, no 9 in Rs25000, no 11 in Rs34000 and no 786 number in Rs9000 respectively.
The auctioned numbers were sold for cars and motorcycles which are only registered with the Rawalpindi excise and Taxation department.
