Karachi: (Parliament Times) Acknowledging the role of lawyer fraternity and traders for the peace, stability and strengthening of democracy in Karachi, AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has expressed his hope that port city will once again become nucleus of lights and peace.
Addressing Karachi Bar Association and Members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries, the President said that with the return of peace Karachi is becoming economic hub of the country. He urged the legal and businesses communities to demonstrate their confidence and resolve to take advantage of the new economic opportunities and possibilities in the country.
He said that people of Kashmir firmly believe that economically strong Pakistan can provide guarantee to the early success of their struggle for right to self determination. The president emphasized that people of Karachi must realized most important economic development being taking place after the launch of China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project which will open up new horizons and long term development in country.
About the situation in occupied Kashmir, AJK President said that Indian occupation forces deployed in Kashmir have beaten all the past record of barbarities in last seven months as no one from ages 5 to 80 years is saved from Indian forces’ high handedness. He said that Kashmiri youths are being deprived of their eyesight by Indian forces that are using pellet guns against them. The President expressed great regret over the silence of International community on the inhuman happenings in occupied territory. Meanwhile President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has highly condemned the unprovoked Indian shelling at Thub Sector of Bhimber District and expressed is deep concern over the martyrdom of three Pak Army soldiers. The president conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the families of Naike Ghulam Rasool, Naike Imran Zaffar and Sepoy Imran Bakhash. He said that Pak Army and people of Azad Kashmir are fully prepared and capable to respond to the Indian provocation. He further said that it is highly unfortunate that India instead of resolving Kashmir issue through peaceful means is sowing the seeds of war in the region.
