The Hague: AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said all hops for peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue through bilateral dialogues between India and Pakistan have died down and added that Simla Agreement is not hurdle in third party mediation to resolve the conflict.
Addressing Kashmir Conference at Hague organized by Kashmir Council of Netherlands, he said that after exhausting all the efforts to resolve Kashmir issue at bilateral level, we will have to take the issue in United Nation, its human rights council and others global forums.
He called upon the civil society of Europe, human rights organization and responsible government of the world to cooperate with the Kashmiri people for the settlement of the Kashmir issue through peaceful means and in democratic manner. The Kashmir Conference was attended by members of the Netherlands Parliament, members of the civil society and large number of Pakistanis and Kashmiris. Pakistan’s ambassador to Holland Iffat Imran Gardazi, members of Europe parliament Sajjad Kareem, the head of Friends of Kashmir Group in Brussels Parliament Dr Manzoor Allahi and Dr Amin Azkar also spoke on the occasion.
The AJK President urged the members of Pakistani and Kashmiri community to increase their interaction with the members of parliament and keep them updated about the situation in Kashmir. He also urged them to highlight the Kashmir issue by using the media and other effective sources.
The AJK president said that the members of European Parliament, European Union and the members of Brussels parliament took keen interest in Kashmir issue during his ongoing visit to the Brussels other EU countries. Speaking on the occasion Pakistan’s Ambassador Iffat Imran Gardazi said that Kashmir issue is not bilateral matter between India and Pakistan. She said that Kashmir is an international issue and the resolutions passed by United Nations’ Security Council are proof of it. She further said that India has failed to silence the voices of the Kashmir people and called upon the global community to demand impartial investigation of the crimes being committed by India against the humanity.
