Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities disallowed Seerat conference, which was scheduled to be held at the Hyderpora residence of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, in Srinagar, today.

The entire Hurriyet leadership including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik were invited to participate in the conference. However, the authorities placed Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest at his Nigeen residence in Srinagar.

Heavy contingent of police was deployed outside the residence of Syed Ali Gilani to ensure no one could enter the venue of the conference. When Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik along with other Hurriyet leaders arrived Hyderpora, police present outside Syed Ali Gilani’s residence disallowed him to enter the house.

Hurriyet leaders and organizations in their statements termed this act on the part of the puppet administration as interference in religious matters.
