Rawalpindi, Dec. 11 (Online): Pakistan Army on Sunday made significant postings and transfers. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement announced that Lt. Gen Bilal Akbar has been appointed Chief of General Staff (CGS).
Lt. Gen Rizwan Akhtar presently serving as DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has been appointed President National Defence University (NDU). Lt. General Nazir Butt presently President NDU as Corps Commander Peshawar, Lt. General Hidayat ur Rehman presently Corps Commander Peshawar as Inspector General Training and Evaluation at GHQ.
Lt. General Asim Salim Bajwa, presently DG ISPR as Inspector General Arms at GHQ, Lt. General Hamayun Aziz as Inspector General C&IT at GHQ, and Lt. General Qazi Ikram as Chief of Logistic Staff at GHQ. Furthermore, Lt. General Sher Afgun has been posted as Corps Commander Bahawalpur and Lt. General Naeem Ashraf appointed as Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila. Lt. General Muhammad Afzal will continue working as DG FWO.
