Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has expressed profound gratitude to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for extending generous support to people living along the Line of control in Azad Kashmir.
Addressing a compensation cheques distribution ceremony here on Thursday he said AJK and
Federal governments are taking concrete measures to reduce the distress of people residing along the Line of Control. He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was himself due in Muzaffarabad to distribute the compensation cheques among the affectees but bad weather conditions did not allow him to visit the state capital.
He said that Prime Minister of Pakistan is fully aware of the miseries of the people residing at the Line of Control and he has directed the federal and state governments to take immediate steps for the early rehabilitation of the effectees.
AJK Prime Minister on the behalf of Prime Minister of Pakistan distributed donation cheques among the victims’ families of Indian unprovoked shelling at Line of Control.
Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Raja Farooq Haider Khan said people of Azad Kashmir indebted to him for visiting AJK every critical time and sharing the grief of the affectees. He said government is fully aware of the sacrifices of the people of Neelum Valley and other areas affected by the Indian shelling from across the Line of Control. He said authorities has taken the bus destroyed by Indain firing problems, into custody, to expose the Indian crime against the unarmed civilians while owner of the bus would be paid by government, he added.
Terming violation ceasefire by India at Line of Control as serious threat to peace, the prime Minister said cowardly Indian acts by targeting innocent citizens will not help India to perpetuate its illegitimate of occupation of Kashmir. He said that brave armed forces of Pakistan are capable to give a befitting reply to Indian aggression. Raja Farooq Haider said that the federal government approved Rs.one million each for the heir of martyred , 2 lacs for injured and Rs one million for completely destroyed house and Rs.5 lacs for partially damaged house as compensation.
