Women of Pakistan are facing a lot of problems. The first problem faced by them is that they do not get same rights as those of men. The world cannot go on without men and women and for this reason women should be given rights in our society. However, our religion also teaches the lesson that men and women must get equal rights, but the situation is reverse in our society. Our society is male dominant. In the past before the rise of Islam, Women had no rights. They were considered inferior to men. If we cast a look at our society, then we will come to know that the condition of women is the same as it was before Islam. Most of our population resides in villages. The first problem which the village women face is that they are treated very harshly by their husbands, Fathers and brothers. They have no freedom of thought, Speech, expressions. People in our society think that women are fit only for domestic work. In our society people are not advocating the education of women, it is not because of Islam but it is because of their traditions that they do not compromise. Another serious problem in our society is marriage at a young age; Sexual exploitation is another big problem for the women in our society as it is extreme violence. All over the world women are victims of men’s violence. They are victims of violence and they are degraded as well as ill-treated. Another serious problem in our society is honor killing;these murders are based on the belief that a woman is the property of her family. If she refuses to obey her father, husband or brother, her family’s “honor” is thought to be disgraced and the women must be killed by a male relative to restore the family’s good name in the community. Every time the term “honor killing” is used, we view the murder of women through the eyes of their killers. By adding the word “honor” to killing, we use the language of those who justify this crime on the basis of “honorable” motives. There is no honor in murder. We must stop doing this. If we talk about sharia law, sharia dictates that a woman is not to leave the house without permission from her husband or father, Sharia paves the way for vigilante justice against women in the form of honor killings, Mutilations and murders committed in retaliation for bringing dishonor on one’s family. Whether, Â real or imaginary. A woman has to face different forms of domestic violence including beating, torture, burning, shaving and murder. In -laws abuse and harass married women. Dowry and family related disputes often result in death or disfigurement by burning or acid. Â Recently the government of Pakistan has passed a bill of “Women Rights” and it is hoped that it will help our women a lot. As it is said “The society can never develop where the women are not given equal rights as those of men”.
