ISLAMABAD :(Parliament Times) A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee was held in Islamabad and was chaired by Opposition leader Khurshid Shah.
The accounts of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) were checked during the meeting.
The auditor report objected that billion rupees were exempted in lieu of custom duty and which caused contention between the auditors and FBR.
The situation didn’t cease there as both the departments started making allegations against each other over certain matters.
While looking at the matter, the chairman of the committee sent all the reports back to the departmental committee.
The committee member Rashid Godail was of the opinion that the money collected is consumed extravagantly and there should be a systematic matter dor spending the money.
