Chairman Pakistan United Christian Movement, A David Saturdayurged that Government must make arrangements for census to be conducted as soon as possible. Speaking at an event arranged to press authorities for implementation of due minorities rights on Saturday, David expressed grave concern over the alleged rejection of bill presented by MNA Asiya Nasir to increase the number of non-muslim seats in National and Provincial Assemblies. ” If the overall number of seats was increased without census in 2002 then why is the increase of Non-Muslims seats is being linked with census now, isn’t this another form of discrimination”, he asked. He appreciated Asiya Nasir for taking this initiative”, he questioned. The PUCM emphasized upon political parties representing non-Muslim Pakistanis to join hands with social activist to lobby and influence main stream political forces to support their bid for increased representation in legislative bodies and constitutional right to elect their own representatives through vote.Pakistan United Christian Movement will soon start meetings with the heads of all the political parties in the country to appraise them of the concerns of non-Muslims regarding the alleged electoral discrimination faced by Non-muslim Pakistanis, David added
